Pippa Middleton’s Enchanted Forest Reception Inside a Glass Palace: Decorator’s Sneak Peek Inside the Royal Society Wedding of the Season!

Pippa Middleton’s Enchanted Forest Wedding Reception

The first details have emerged from Pippa Middleton and James Matthews’ wedding reception, which featured a breathtaking Enchanted Forest theme and romantic English country wedding details.  With every detail a closely guarded secret, there was delight when a decorator posted a trio of Instagram photos showcasing the design inside Pippa’s glass palace.  The magical images show the marquee’s interior on April 20, before guests had arrived.

Catch up on all the details on Pippa’s marriage to James Matthews, which took place in a 12th century church earlier in the day.

Flowering white cherry trees blossomed among ferns and bouquets of peonies, roses, and garden flowers at the center of every table, creating a fairytale bower for the Middleton-Matthews wedding feast.  The ornate glass marquee, which spans 140 feet, was imported from Belgium and erected on the Middleton estate in Bucklebury, Berkshire.  Guests were undoubtedly left breathless by the exquisite and whimsical details.

Guests of Pippa Middleton and James Matthews arrived in the late afternoon in time to witness a Spitfire flypast.  They were allowed to briefly enter the enchanted glass palace, and were swiftly ushered out for the aerial tribute.

Pippa’s Wedding Details Kept a Closely Guarded Secret

While we cannot see the evening’s festivities, there are many photographs of the church ceremony and we do have a peek at the reception card invitation to the wedding dinner.  The floral arrangements were breathtaking at every turn, both in the understanded bouquet the bride carried, to the beautiful flowers that made the church bloom.

In keeping with Pippa’s classic spring pastel color theme, the invitations to the evening reception were decorated with maidenhair ferns, reflecting the design of her bridal tiara.  The reception card is double layered with a heavy white front and what appears to be a heavier weight back that might be metallic or tinted pale green.

This Instagram snapshot of Pippa’s wedding invitation was shared by the decorator, who was working with the florist and others to create the stunning wedding reception of the bride’s dreams.  The images, like images of the wedding invitation posted by a guest, were removed after several hours on social media.  Speculation is that a magazine deal may be in the works for Pippa’s society wedding, but this would be a huge social faux pas.  Sneak peeks may be the only glimpse we have inside the event, similar to Kate and William’s private evening reception.

A Fairytale Wedding Party Bursting with Royal Guests

Pippa Middleton and James Matthews celebrated their marriage with several events including a wedding breakfast, the ceremony at St. Mark’s Church, an intimate drinks reception following the ceremony, likely when formal portraits were being taken at Englefield House, and then the evening reception at the Middleton’s estate which reportedly lasted until 4am.  We’re sure it looked as magnificent at the end of the evening as during preparations.
